Keilani's Comics
Welcome to the site! This is sort of a blog turned journal turned comic strip that I started about four years ago. I draw about what's going on in my life and the people who are important to me (if you're not in it, you're probably just hard to draw. or you haven't done anything funny lately). Over the years the comics have changed a lot, and though they've been few and far between lately, I'm getting back in the swing of it. Hopefully soon more comics will be on the way!

ancient greece
We're learning about the history of theatre architecture in stagecraft right now. it's way interesting, but i know a lot of it already from sellers' class (whoohoo). anyway, today we learned about theatre in ancient greece, and of course my mind was there (but always wondering... as always) so this is what came out. along with my actual notes. you should see them, they're impressive.

color scheme

nate and i have been having this argument about what color pumpkin really is. every time i point out something pumpkin-colored, the conversation is as follows:
nate: that's not pumpkin-colored.
me: totally is.
nate: no.
me: yeah. i'm right.
nate: you're wrong. it's orange.
me: no, pumpkin has more orange in it than orange.
nate: more orange than orange?
me: you know what i meant.
nate: obviously not. besides, that's too dark.
me: what?"
nate: (pointing out something else) now THAT'S pumpkin
me: that's too red.
nate: whatever! there's more red in that than in orange.
me: now you're talking nonsense. more red than orange? listen to yourself.
nate: whatever.
me: whatever.
nate: fine.
me: fine.
nate: be that way
me: i will.
(long pause)
me: (whispered) i'm right.

bus song

i think there was one point when everyone from springville had their ipods in. good times.
and i sang out loud, which is odd, cause i don't normally sing out loud. unless i'm in my car. perhaps it was the fact that the bus was moving.... sneaky.
and yes, i sang the Russian. and no, i don't speak Russian. i copied the sounds. one poorly pronounced syllable at a time.
